Female-oriented dating app that puts safe and respectful communication first. Bumble provides a quick matching system based on mutual opt-ins, empowering women to start a conversation, thus avoiding unwanted messages. However, if no communication takes place within 24 hours, your connection disappears forever, which is hardly convenient for those who prefer to give a lot of thought before starting a new relationship.

Pros:

  • protection from unwanted messages
  • photo-messenger.

Cons:

  • 24-hour limit to start a conversation
  • dialogues between different sexes can be initiated only by women
  • sign in with Facebook to create an account.

Novel concept, but can’t fight millions of years of evolution
Very nicely designed app, but you can’t change human nature — or evolution over millions of years. Men approach women… Women want to be pursued. Hard to change that when there are other options. It would be great and noble for the feminist movement and equality in general for this to change, but it’s not going to happen because of this app. Women get on, get a ton of matches, then ignore the app because it’s easier to get hit on through Tinder, OKCupid, etc. Nice try, but the concept just doesn’t work.

    No facebook, no app
Not everyone has or wants to have a facebook…so I can’t use this app?? BOLOGNA.

    Geolocation bad, design ok
Not many ppl in my area and I live in SF so that’s weird. Bit buggy they should have privately released to fix bugs

Not worth it > no matches
Had potential though got precisely zero chats after several months of daily use. Coffee meets bagel and hinge though not great at least give multiple dates every month.

    Horrible, no connections
I understand this from a woman’s perspective but a guy rarely makes a connection so the app is worthless.

    Why change the rules?
Bumble is trying to change the rules of the game”

    Ugh Facebook
I don’t have a Facebook therefore can’t have this app either. Sucky.

I have never seen one person to rate..

    Another app requiring Facebook
I get it. Founder for this cofounded Tinder. But please understand that not everyone has or wants to have a Facebook account to use your app. That is a terrible requirement. That barrier to entry will keep people out, myself included. I’m not setting up a Facebook just for this app.

    Straight up sexist
Need I say more? This app is taking a step back in gender equality, and frankly equality in general. Men and women do not have the same experience using this app. Straight people and same-sex couples do not share the same user experience either. That just isn’t right. Beautiful user interface though.

Not seeing how this helps women by making them do all the work
